Programme Educational Outcomes

PEO1:Graduates will have sound knowledge in the core areas of Electronics, communication and allied Engineering to analyze and propose solutions for day-to-day engineering problems facing the society.

PEO2:Graduates will have necessary skills to do research and work as an entrepreneur with self-confidence in interdisciplinary fields of Engineering

PEO3:Graduates will have managerial and interpersonal skills to work as an individual and as a team with continuous learning to boost their organization’s growth.

PEO4:Graduates will have self-discipline, ethical values and social responsibility setting a good role model for future generations.

Programme Outcomes

PO1:Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

PO2:Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO3:Development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO4:Conduct investigation of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PO5:Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

PO6:The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

PO7:Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Programme Specific Outcomes

PSO1:   Students will be trained in the field of electronic systems, to design and develop solutions enhancing their employability and entrepreneurship skills.

PSO2:  Students will be inspired to develop analytical, domain and soft skills which will enable them to crack national level competitive examinations for higher studies and empowerment.

About the Department

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the Year 2012.The department has well equipped Laboratory as Communication lab, Microprocessor and Microcontroller Lab, Electronics Circuit Lab, Optical and Microwave Lab, Digital/Analog Circuits lab, Digital Signal Processing lab, VLSI Lab, Network Lab.

The department has highly educated Faculty members having a vast experience in their field. The department has a well-balanced workforce having experience in academics and in Industries. Students are given education as well as training exposure in order to get placed in highly reputed Industries.

Symbiosis between placement cell and the Department help the students to achieve the best of the Jobs of their careers. Proper Industrial interaction is given to the students by organizing National level workshops in the Campus. In those events eminent personalities from industry and educational institutions were invited to the campus for student’s interaction and guidance. The students had presented their talents in the form of practical projects and papers, which were seen and assessed by the invited personalities; they also had an interaction directly with the students in which they suggested measures to further improve the quality of the creativity.

Exposure as well as training is provided to the students for advanced studies and various guest lecturers and Mock campus interviews are conducted time to time to facilitate the students and create awareness. Industry visits and practical projects are also encouraged by the department in various sectors; students are taken out to industries for practical understanding of the technology. To name a few, visits are made on frequent basis to organizations such as ACE components, JVS Electronics, Embuzz Technologies, and ISRO etc.

To add on the feathers in the cap students are also placed in reputed companies such as Tata Consultancy services,Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Infoview, I-Net Sensiple, IGATE etc.,

The Department has a very rich history of its providing technical education in the field of Engineering and its achievements in a small span of fourteen years of establishment. With the support of the excellent Management of the Institute and the strong backbone of the Faculty we place the department in one of the best in the Institute.
